  • Old school stadium with good atmosphere and feel to it. Close to the pitch which makes you feel very much involved. The standard of football was poor but QPR are poorly run at the moment with a clown ...  more »
  • Here a tour done. Guide was very good and could give many nice details. In the skybox of the owners, players lounge, locker room, field + dug-out and press area. As a football fan it is always nice to different stadiums to see.

  • One of Londons smaller grounds. There needs to be a serious look at the concourses at the back of the away stand. Crowded to the point that children were frightened and the pushing and jostling was un...  more »

  • Have only been here once. It is a compact ground and affords good viewing positions, even from the upper tiers. There is a good choice of food and drink, at typical football ground prices. Easy to get there, with two tube lines within easy walking distance. Happy to go back there.
  • Classic old school football stadium, with supporters really close to the pitch. In need of renovating, but a must visit for anyone who wishes to experience a football match up close. Seating quality is quite poor... Anyone over 5ft may struggle with the leg room. Food and drink are standard quality and price for football venues. Toilets are basic.
  • Loftus road is a ground of the best atmosphere in football as the fans are so close to the pitch. It’s a place football fans need to visit. Come on you R’S
  • A poor venue for 'away' fans. The view is not great with the roof being so low you feel boxed in. Some seats have badly restricted view too. Good to see the real ale bar.
  • I enjoyed the atmosphere and enthusiasm of the fanatics. The grass is in a perfect state and overall is an enjoyable experience. However, the seats are extremely small with no leg space at all, the food is not good and the infrastructure is pretty old.

Where to stay in London

Many of London's main attractions are spread out, so nearby public transportation is key. There is no downtown area as such in London, and some of the least expensive hotels have more convenient access to tourist sites than the costlier ones. For a quintessential London experience, consider staying in the West End. This part of town offers excellent theaters, historical sites, and eating and shopping options for every taste. Lodging won’t be cheap, but you’ll have the colorful variety of London life right at your doorstep. Look at Notting Hill or Chelsea for charming and less expensive boutique hotels and B&Bs.
