Where to stay in London

Many of London's main attractions are spread out, so nearby public transportation is key. There is no downtown area as such in London, and some of the least expensive hotels have more convenient access to tourist sites than the costlier ones. For a quintessential London experience, consider staying in the West End. This part of town offers excellent theaters, historical sites, and eating and shopping options for every taste. Lodging won’t be cheap, but you’ll have the colorful variety of London life right at your doorstep. Look at Notting Hill or Chelsea for charming and less expensive boutique hotels and B&Bs.

  • DON'T GO IN THERE THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY. HALF THEIR GAMES DONT WORK PROPERLY AND DRUG DEALERS HANG IN THERE TOO IF I WAS YOU ID STAY AWAY ALL THEY WANT TO DO IS GET YOU HOOKED ON GAMBLING. TOO BAD I COULDN'T GIVE ZERO STARS.
  • 3/5 - This is one of the only games arcades in the area so if you want to go to one, you don't really have any other options. You access the arcade down a flight of stairs from street level. Inside there are typical racing type games around the edge along with Time Crisis, Guitar Hero, Dance Games and some other shooting and racing games. In the middle were 2 pool tables and 2 Air Hockey games (One of the Air hockey games was out of order when I visited). This arcade is not aimed at young kids at all, so if you're a parent, don't bring your kids. This place is aimed more at hardcore arcade gamers that will sit in here for hours on end, opposed to people that visit for a few games then leave. I would describe this place as dingy and would not recommend it to anyone.
  • Actually a pretty decent little arcade. There's about 20 machines - a lot of dance games, 2-3 shoot'em'ups and some racing game. There are air hockey tables too. It's good fun, cheap for London and there's a nice buzz in there but it's small and quiet for an arcade. The location isn't the best, while accessible and busy - it is below a gambling slots place, in the heart of Soho. So on a Friday and Saturday when people are on nights out, it can get a bit rowdy!
  • Nice place to play. On weekends quite a lot of people but on work day is perfect
  • Fun small arcade with a good variety of Japanese multi-player games. Shooters, car racers, drumming games, air hockey dance games, football etc. £1 a game though.. So not the cheapest.
