Horse Guards Building, London

(4.2/5 based on 240+ reviews on the web)
Home to gorgeous equines and stately guards, Horse Guards Building serves as the perfect spot to soak up some English pomp and royal history. The 17th-century Palladian-style structure marks the formal entrance to St. James' Palace, and only the country's monarch or those with a special pass can drive through its central archway. Stoic guards atop their horses keep watch at the entrance, providing one of London's best photo opportunities. If you're lucky, you may get to see the changing of the guards on the adjoining parade ground. Inside the structure is, appropriately, the Household Cavalry Museum. • For every friend of the guards an absolute must. If you're lucky just an exercise takes place on the parade ground

  • Cavalry is an old and glorious tradition of British Empire. Have the chance to see one of their rehearsals or parades and you will never forget!  more »
  • Sunday 10 a.m. ceremony, so went aim ladder and a Buckingham Palace ceremony. Aligned forces of gravel behind the building of the first ever had work waiting for alternating forces are coming from, come toward the building. No no movement takes about 20 minutes and then is free. Will you go back to endure cold weather, aligned and then waited, kinda turned on the order. This is only the first in everything. I saw come back old guards, walked toward the Palace after the March
