Horse Guards Building, London

(4.2/5 based on 240+ reviews on the web)
Home to gorgeous equines and stately guards, Horse Guards Building serves as the perfect spot to soak up some English pomp and royal history. The 17th-century Palladian-style structure marks the formal entrance to St. James' Palace, and only the country's monarch or those with a special pass can drive through its central archway. Stoic guards atop their horses keep watch at the entrance, providing one of London's best photo opportunities. If you're lucky, you may get to see the changing of the guards on the adjoining parade ground. Inside the structure is, appropriately, the Household Cavalry Museum. • In the courtyard, we attended the changing of the guard on horseback. Arrive a little early to get a spot! But it is to do! The ceremonial is impressive, set to music paper!

  • When Buckingham Palace Guard change ceremony had a day off, so disappointed, while walking unsteadily toward a decent chance, like a nice event (I say of me? ) To the met. In a solemn ceremony will proceed. Also, the atmosphere and the cavalry soldier who blows the trumpet. However, trumpet skills were, as she was a brass band was "sound off. Let everything (lol) "and giggled the whole way. An irreverent daughters sorry (hehe) worth an attempt.
