  • Neat place. I went around 4 PM in March, and there was still lots of stalls to choose from for dinner. It was mostly food available at that time, though. Ended up getting a great deal because it was almost closing time - got a large dinner for half the price of a small. There were places to sit. Not a bad place to stop in.
  • A lovely market with great stalls, frequented by locals and tourists alike. Nice selection of food alongside rotating independent stands selling everything from candles and scarves to second-hand books and artwork. The market is mostly under cover and the area around is lined with other independent shop fronts and two pubs. Can get extremely busy at weekends but definitely worth a visit if you're in Greenwich village.
  • Had a great time at Greenwich market! Good options for food - cuisines from all over the world. Lovely atmosphere. Especially if it's a bright sunny day - do try to visit! It is pretty good experience. :)
  • Some interesting stalls. Just be aware that if you think you're getting a hot empanada, it'll likely be cold inside - that food stall has an unusual and totally ineffective heating method. Try something else, maybe.
  • Very hip and happening. Quite a varied set of stalls. Definitely worth checking out. Quite a bit of history around it, too. Also the GMT line is close by, and a park, along with museums

Where to stay in London

Many of London's main attractions are spread out, so nearby public transportation is key. There is no downtown area as such in London, and some of the least expensive hotels have more convenient access to tourist sites than the costlier ones. For a quintessential London experience, consider staying in the West End. This part of town offers excellent theaters, historical sites, and eating and shopping options for every taste. Lodging won’t be cheap, but you’ll have the colorful variety of London life right at your doorstep. Look at Notting Hill or Chelsea for charming and less expensive boutique hotels and B&Bs.
