Let your inner nerd have fun at Forbidden Planet where you can go for some retail therapy. Known for fantasy, science fiction, and all the comic books your heart desires, Forbidden Planet shares its name with the 1956 cult film. Bookworms will enjoy comic books and graphic novels, including manga, but the bookshop also sells video games and films. Get the collectable merchandise including rare toys and clothing from your favorite sagas and entertainment memorabilia. • We went here after part one of Harry Potter and the cursed child ended. They have lots of things other than Harry Potter also. Very cool store with Lots of stuff!
  • For western comics the selection is pretty consistent and varied, for eastern comics (which I collect) it can be a mixed bag. Sometimes there's lots of variety and other times the selection can be very limiting, unless you collect something extremely popular (like Bleach or Naruto) then there's tons available. Upstairs is for merchandise, again they tend to stock things which are widely available making it less important as I can get most things at High Street stores. They occasionally have something a little different or hard to get, but not too often. Generally speaking Forbidden Planet is great if you want things that are very popular or from the American market, otherwise it's a bit of a gamble.
  • Very nice place for nerds, the staff was very willing to help. The only point was that they had a lot of really expensive stuff and less small stuff, and some fandoms had much more stuff than others even though they were generally less popular. Also there was a disappointing amount of posters. All nitpicking aside though, the prices were cheap and I'd definitely recommend to any and all nerds out there.
  • The best shop in London for all things pop culture. Books, Anime, Manga, Collectables - all here. While not the cheapest, it's usually fairly competitive, and with a 10% student discount!
  • Could get lost in this place! If you are a sifi's sooo worth a look in. They have everything from bus pass holders with your fave sifi show.. to crochet patterns of monsters. Comics, collectibles, figurines and a massive book collection... make sure your not in a rush!
  • Geek out over all that amazing stuff! Don't forget to go downstairs to see comics, graphic novels and lots of books. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Beware: There might be a signing going on :)
