  • At the bend of a walk, they kindly offered to enter and visit this House. What a great idea! A lovely welcome, an old remains filled with Aboriginal objects (the collection of musical instruments is worth a visit) and, the icing on the cake, a magical view of London from the balcony of the last floor. A magical time in the garden, filled with crocuses in the beginning of March, under a ray of sunshine. In short, in my opinion, a must for a visit to Hampstead.

  • Very pretty quiet house tucked away from all the local hullabaloo. Well worth a couple of hours of your time. Especially if the keyboards are being played. They have quite a collection of harpsichord and other more exotic instruments.
  • I am a National Trust member and houses with a garden like this make my membership so worthwhile. The floors are manned by volunteers who are so helpful and knowledgable. When I visited there was an elderly chap on the Ground floor who was a fount of knowledge and so friendly and helpful. The garden is a joyful place to wander round and loved the orchard and the small greenhouse. Walled gardens are just such brilliant places go grow healthy and vibrant plants, the garden is kept in really nice condition. Fenton House is a must visit place which I hope people do in numbers as this is somewhere I am going to visit whenever I get time.
  • Visited Thu 29 May. Have NT membership so could spend as long or as short as I liked. Entered through South Garden, then spent tome in the North delightful garden with its varieties of genre. Photographed the exterior then toured the interior considering the architecture. Onto the exciting 2nd floor balcony for the view and the graffiti carved into the bricks. and excitement. Fascinated by the musical instruments but porcelain and painting not my scene - so mostly ignored them. Then enjoyed a walk on Hampstead Heath. (Review by John but Rebecca's account has hijacked my computer)
  • Fine with some good views. Lots of musical instruments that are worth a look!
  • This place is super beautiful. I haven't properly been in the house but we've been to the gardens twice now and they are really fantastic. They're not massive so more of a pop in visit but really worth it! The orchard is especially cool and there are lots of bee friendly plants which is a big plus for me!
