Emirates Stadium, London

4.6
#95 of 2,151 in Things to do in London
Home of Arsenal FC, Emirates Stadium has a capacity of over 60,000 visitors and is the third-largest stadium in England, second only to Wembley and Old Trafford. Since 2009, the venue has undergone "Arsenalisation," with the aim of restoring Arsenal’s heritage and history. A shrine depicting every player ever to have played for the club was erected just outside the stadium. Eight large murals were installed on the exterior, depicting the 32 club legends linking arms with each other, creating the effect of a huddle embracing the stadium. Take a guided tour of the site’s iconic three-tiered bowl and discover the 93 years of proud club history at the Arsenal Museum, just to the north of the venue. Horrible stadium, no atmosphere for away support, the pubs around the ground do it welcome away supporters either, unfriendly club / fans / stewards, their pies are terrible as well  more »

Beautiful Beautiful, wonderful. Stadium tour and Museum to remember and souvenir photos with the latest FA Cup won by this noble team. Beautiful trophy in front of my eyes. The stadium tour very well organised with audio guides in all languages makes you discover all the most important places in the heart of the stadium; from the changing rooms to the Office of the great coach Arsène Wenger; the view from benches ... creepy, the meeting rooms and the Tribune of honor. If you are attracted by the English football and supporters of Arsenal don't miss this tour included in the cost of the London Pass. Very easy to navigate with the Tube stop Arsenal and short walk to the stadium in a nice neighborhood in London. I went on a weekday with few people and I could appreciate all the scenarios seen. Nice but ... the new Allianz (Juventus) Stadium is more beautiful ... #fino eventually Felix

  • If you get a chance to do the stadium tour, do it! I did the self guided audio tour and it was fantastic. The information you get is great and you get to visit places in the stadium that in most is not available to those not with the club. The guides are also knowledgeable and friendly. I stopped and chatted with a few who gave me some additional information and had a great interaction while there. As a casual fan, I enjoyed it. An experience for casual and obviously hardcore fans. It was a quick tour - one hour, and not expensive - £22/per. An experience you don't want to pass up!
  • Went to an exhibition here (I've only been to games previously) and experienced it from a different angle. The staff were attentive and the quality of food was excellent. I spoke with the organisers as well, who were very happy with the standards too.
  • Arsenal are a really good team( possibly the best) and it is the best place to watch GOOD football. The crowd is amazing - as I have seen on the TV. The food is very good and I know this because I went to the restaurant
  • Love this place and seeing my club. The club level is great. What a treat. But come on gooners, how bout some atmosphere, do you want to be there?
  • Even the walls of toilets adorned with the pictures of our great footballers. With the excited crowd around great experience. Real home of football.

Where to stay in London

Many of London's main attractions are spread out, so nearby public transportation is key. There is no downtown area as such in London, and some of the least expensive hotels have more convenient access to tourist sites than the costlier ones. For a quintessential London experience, consider staying in the West End. This part of town offers excellent theaters, historical sites, and eating and shopping options for every taste. Lodging won’t be cheap, but you’ll have the colorful variety of London life right at your doorstep. Look at Notting Hill or Chelsea for charming and less expensive boutique hotels and B&Bs.
