  • I tried to get a take-away cup of tea at 16:40. Before I could open my mouth I was abruptly told the cafe was closed. There were people sitting inside and out. I would if the owners of the cafe know c...  more »

  • Visited park for a run. Park during winter opens at 08 am and closes at 06.30pm. Nicely tarred surfaces for running and even has distances marked on the track!!!! Great dog excercise areas. Plenty of ...  more »

  • Great place for the kids - they love it! Can't get enough of the cycle track, the playground, the gym equipment and climbing on the sculptures. The cafe is cool too.
  • Nice family park. Play area for the kids, outdoor gym for the adults and table tennis tables for everyone. Lots of dog walkers who all seem pretty good at picking up any mess. You can hire bikes to ride round the circular road - mainly recumbent style ones, have a coffee and bun at the cafe or just enjoy the green open space and gardens.
  • An Arcadian idyll which is truly magnificent in the late English summer. Play a couple of sets of tennis before unwinding in the park's capacious and verdant open spaces, basking in the glory of its subtly variegated greenery. Ideal for picnics and other sybaritic pleasures, crepuscular rays caress the Lotus Eater before adjourning to The Crown and Greyhound for a postprandial, revivifying beverage.
  • A lovely park with a large running/waking/cycling/skating track. There's a pond with boats, a nice big children's play area, outdoor gym equipment, plenty of lawns and trees to relax under, a formal garden that's splendid when the Rhodidendrons bloom and the park had one of the nicest restaurants/cafes going.
  • I really like this park. It has everything you need in a park: benches and grass to sit down, plenty of trees and plants which create pleasant surroundings, ponds, ducks, nice kids playground for those who have kids, ice-cream vans. This is a great place to rest and relax on a sunny day
