  • This is a large park with gardens. There is an outdoor performing area and lake surrounded by wooded ground which is great to picnic in. The lake on the other side of the park is popular for its dinosaur sculptures and boating in the summer. The children's zoo is great for anyone to attend and the flower garden is a relatively quiet part of the park although it is near the main road! The Crystal Palace Museum is on the site also. Parking is extensive and free in the park. But it does get busy when the sports facilities are in use or when the fair is in town. It is a really great park for all.
  • Brought my 8 year old. He loved the dinosaurs and had a great time on the boating lake. Plenty of ice-cream vans around, decent playground area. Toilets weren't too bad. Shame the cafe wasn't open. Went through the maze and then took him up to the ruins to explain the history of the area. There was a funfair on at the time which was the icing on the cake, great family day out.
  • Visited for fireworks. Very good display but all over in 10 minutes. Considering that you have to pay, I would have enjoyed another 10 minutes at least. No funfair but lots to eat and drink. Very expensive though so if thinking about going this year consider bringing your own munchies. There are a few dinosaur statues in the Park so good for kids if visiting during the day.
  • Crystal Palace is one of the best places to stay giving you a choices of transport to the big city, shopping isn't all that and its not the tidiest of places. The Park is great for all your needs weather it be having fun with the kids, sports or just leisure. Take your own food and drink at the moment because there I no facilities except toilets. The park is under going some changes.
  • Love this place! Huge park. Amazing in the summer! Big lake, child's play area, some old sculptures and statues, lots of space, has the sports ground inside, a maze, gardens and a dinosaur trail! All free! (except the sports hall) has toilets on site and also holds lots of festivals and events throughout the year.
