Covent Garden, London
(4.4/5 based on 11,000+ reviews on the web)
Head to Covent Garden for one of London's liveliest street scenes. A former covered vegetable garden, the area now offers a collection of cafes, restaurants, and shops. You'll find a global range of cuisines, from Japanese and Indian to French and British, and diverse shops offering various clothing styles, art, gourmet foodstuffs, and much more. Even if you're not hungry or interested in shopping, you can still find plenty of entertainment from the street performers. Watch magicians execute their tricks as buskers' songs fill the air. Before heading off, be sure to snap a few photos of the Royal Opera House's detailed facade. Theatergoers fill the area in the evening, but you'll likely find it bustling no matter when you visit. With our custom trip planner, London attractions like Covent Garden can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • Always a great place to visit. Whether the street buskers, the shops or the restaurants surrounding the area, it is a fun part of London and worth the visit.
  • Covent Garden used to be our favourite spot, with lots of smaller shops and stalls. We were very disappointed to find that the smaller units have all been taken over by corporate giants, so it's like ...  more »
  • Covent Garden is always fun to visit, a kind of market hall with lots of small shops and eateries. Just a pity that here also the majority retrieved by the expensive brands such as Chanel are everywhere. A number of years back were the very small unknown English shops that this market hall gave the charm, which is unfortunately also here over. Very sorry, but still a must go if you are in london.

  • This area is beautiful, full of street performers who will amaze you. Do give them a fiver if you enjoyed their show this is often their main source of income! The shops are cute and a couple nice pubs in the area
  • Great little market area, partly covered and there are a ton of brand name shops in the area along with some eating spots as well. It can be very busy, so it makes for a great place to people watch.
  • High-end brands, some great restaurants and street performances make Covent Garden one of the most popular tourist destinations in London. Just a ten minute walk from Leicester square if you're looking for a different kind of entertainment, want to do some shopping, would like to see stunning exteriors or just grab a bite from any corner of the world!
  • The best place in London for food with plenty of halal variety. Also great stalls and shops for records and quirky things.
  • The 'old market' setting, a full complement of the quaint and quirky in close proximity, the crowd at close quarters, a touch of lite history, bountiful food and drink . An animated top-drawer destination and shoppers' paradise.
