Stroll along streets lined with heritage-listed buildings in London’s attractive Clerkenwell. Once known as "Little Italy," this area is now packed full of listed town houses, historic buildings, museums, Michelin-star restaurants, and cafes. The area was once an ancient parish, linking nearby Islington with the city of London, making it a desirable place to live; Oliver Cromwell even owned a house here in the 17th century. Wander along the quaint streets, follow small alleyways to find hidden pubs, and stop by the street market for a bite to eat.
