  • Another of Londons great Statues that commemorates one of Englands most memorable monarchs who was executed back in the 17 th Century Take a close look at the statue as this has great detail and shows...  more »
  • The equestrian statue of Charles I stands in the middle of a roundabout immediately south of Trafalgar Square in Central London. The monument was created in 1633. It was the first equestrian statue in the style of the Renaissance in England. The rider stands with his horse on a decorated pedestal made of sandstone. Apart from the biblical age, the monument is not so interesting. In the immediate vicinity we have looked at fellow attractions.

  • The statue is not in an ideal location and it could be relocated in much better locations within Trafalgar Square; nevertheless, still a nice statue to see if in the area or walking past.

  • Love this statue not only because of it's historic significance ( his death by 'the people' marked the beginning of a tumultuous period in English history), but also because it is from this point that all measurements to 'London' are made. :)
  • It is so beautiful. Go there and se the place
  • I don't know how to get in to the map but the pic look nice
  • The setting is nice the statue is not anything special.
  • Impressive statue, however, more impressive place to see trafalgar square from
