  • The equestrian statue of Charles I stands in the middle of a roundabout immediately south of Trafalgar Square in Central London. The monument was created in 1633. It was the first equestrian statue in the style of the Renaissance in England. The rider stands with his horse on a decorated pedestal made of sandstone. Apart from the biblical age, the monument is not so interesting. In the immediate vicinity we have looked at fellow attractions.

  • The statue is not in an ideal location and it could be relocated in much better locations within Trafalgar Square; nevertheless, still a nice statue to see if in the area or walking past.
