Carnaby Street, London
(3.2/5 based on 800+ reviews on the web)
Home to a slew of independent, local boutiques, Carnaby Street has offered leisurely shopping on a pedestrian-only thoroughfare since the 1940s. In 1967, the location was satirized in the film "Smashing Time" where fashionistas promenaded up and down the street in high style. Brand-name retailers of fashion and lifestyle products, local boutiques, cafes, and restaurants line the street. Put Carnaby Street into our London family vacation planner to see other points of interest to visit during your vacation in London.

  • from my first two visits to London it's been almost 40 years, Carnaby street we remembered how the temple fashion typical of that period and hippies, not to mention other customs. today is obviously much more modern, typical clothing stores of the years 70 became boutique, but the air we breathe is always the one I remembered.

  • Very quiet, nice atmosphere, with charming shops and a courtyard which is open, covered in winter with several restaurants, fish, meat, Chinese, Italian. Really worth a visit.
