Camden Market, London
(4.4/5 based on 16,000+ reviews on the web)
With hundreds of stalls selling clothing, crafts, and food, Camden Market is one of Europe's largest markets. The nexus of one of London's most offbeat neighborhoods, the market joins together a series of smaller markets. Start in Camden Lock Market, the one that helped give rise to the others. Here you'll find music, films, books, crafts, and unusual gift items. Head to Camden Stables Market for vintage clothing and antiques. Most of the markets contain food stalls, but go to Inverness Street for fresh produce and continental-style restaurants. Sunday is the busiest day here, and the Camden tube stop restricts inbound service in the afternoon to help manage the crowds. You'll find fewer people--but also fewer open stalls--on weekdays. • Food in the world, looks punks and rocks, under street culture so subversive and respectful of others, the cheep on every street corner. And even the statue of Amy Winehouse.

  • Camden Market is fantastic. You can wander around for hours and find everything you could possibly want. The good stands are great, but beware of the prices if you're not from London you may be a little shocked at the expense. A great place to explore day or night, but families may find seating a little hard to find at peak times
  • Great Place! Full of shops, markets and fairs of the most diverse styles and tastes. Even if it is not to buy anything, it is worth the ride and not only on the main street, but also in the markets that are on the side streets. It has several places to eat and also take one, or several, pints! I went on Sunday afternoon and it was really cool.
  • Well that's beyond any words. One of the most attractive and surprising spot in London. You may find original products, international food and the most visited night clubs, pubs and restaurants. Don't miss out the Stables Market in Camden Town.
  • This market is a dynamic and constantly mutating tourist magnet. A vibrant atmosphere, Victorian buildings, horse themed statues and an eclectic/offbeat mix of traders and customers conspire to conjure this unique streetscape. Thoroughly thronged thoroughfare.
  • Full of life and also full of tourists. Beware the weekends can be very busy but that aside this is an amazing eclectic mix of modern and vintage. The lights sounds and narrow alley ways invite the visitor further in and for some finding "out" can be a challenge. Go with it and explore. You'll love the adventure and be back again no doubt.
