Where to stay in London

Many of London's main attractions are spread out, so nearby public transportation is key. There is no downtown area as such in London, and some of the least expensive hotels have more convenient access to tourist sites than the costlier ones. For a quintessential London experience, consider staying in the West End. This part of town offers excellent theaters, historical sites, and eating and shopping options for every taste. Lodging won’t be cheap, but you’ll have the colorful variety of London life right at your doorstep. Look at Notting Hill or Chelsea for charming and less expensive boutique hotels and B&Bs.

  • We went on 5th Jan in the afternoon with two small children. We hired the skating aids as the children, 4 years and 6 years old, hadn't skated before. It was very quiet and so a perfect choice, it was...  more »
  • Wanted to take the kids (8 and 9) into London to ice skate but it was working out expensive. A friend suggested Broadgate. It was perfect, reasonable size rink, not as busy as some of the bigger ones ...  more »
  • Cute little place, lovely cafe's and food huts with outdoor heating where you can watch the kids ice skate. The rink has aids penguins and seals. Nice location.  more »

  • the website is awful, if you make an error it removes everything and you have to do it all again, and again, and again. I wanted one 60+ ticket and two ordinary. IT does not allow this and sticks on the 60+ ticket. given these are the most expensive skating in london, they should but a decent reliable and easy website.
  • Liked it for a first time skating experience. Nice instructors too.
  • Tucked away location, even staff at nearby M&S completely oblivious to its presence. Once found, quiet little rink, perfect for what we were after, space to skate and not overcrowded. Staff helpful and friendly, rink itself not at its best - large puddles from earlier rain, and sections of the ice ridged and bumpy.
  • Got a two for one deal on Groupon and went towards the end of a Thursday night. There was only one other person on the ice but more people soon joined. The atmosphere was great, everyone was out to have fun and had a laugh if they fell over. The staff were friendly and very helpful, providing plasters and wipes when needed! Would definitely go back.
  • This is a great area. The rink is pretty cool and there's always something going on around nearby it with food and drinks.
