Brixton is a district of London, located in the borough of Lambeth in south London. The area is identified in the London Plan as one of 35 major centres in Greater London.Brixton is mainly residential with a prominent street market and substantial retail sector. It is a multiethnic community, with a large percentage of its population being of African and Caribbean descent. It lies within Inner south London and is bordered by Stockwell, Clapham, Streatham, Camberwell, Tulse Hill and Herne Hill. The district houses the main offices of the London Borough of Lambeth.

  • You just have to go here. There are so many interesting things you can see. But the place is very crowded at the weekends so make sure you have enough time. 
  • definitely a very popular district and on low incomes, to visit because you discover a part of London that is then the real London, that rich, that of the community who fight together for a better neighborhood (very large), the great David Bowie, that of poverty! But also that of the Nice premises where food and music accompany you for pleasant evenings

  • I lived here for many years, I never had to pay the rent, and that was the only reason. Brixton is undergoing a gentrification process, is close to the center and greedy landlord need to charge more, ...  more »
