  • This is a great venue for a kids party loads of space for them to run around. Bowling, karaoke, table tennis and table football too. Party food is good too.

  • Nice atmosphere and Great for Pizza, not so great for bowling, ironically. My parents, my partner and I visited Bloomsbury Lanes on a Saturday for a 1pm lane reservation (if you enjoy the company of a thousand screaming children, by the way, this is a great time to visit Bloomsbury Lanes). Given how expensive this place is, I was pretty shocked at how poor the quality of everything was. I love vintage styling, but at Bloomsbury Lanes you'll find "vintage" used as an excuse for just generally poor apparatus. Vintage lanes = not quite flat; Vintage balls = huge chunks dented out of every side; Vintage pool table = we've not changed the cloth since 1960... We had an hour booking on Lane 5, and we soon started experiencing problems with the "Vintage" bowling mechanism at the end of our lane. The friendly staff were quick to deal with the issue each time, but the total number of stoppages to our game ran up to 25mins; almost half of our booked slot. This pretty much killed the atmosphere. Frankly no amount of 1960s charm makes up for a lane that doesn’t work. We ended up paying £60 for a pizza, a couple of drinks, and an hour’s broken entertainment; quite a lot to pay even in London. As ashamed as I am to have to say it, our visit left us wishing we’d simply taken a trip to one of the less visually appealing but more reliable generic ten-pin bowling lanes. Raised this at the end of our session with the lane staff – they suggested to email our complaint. We did, but never heard anything back. Won't be visiting again and would advise others to visit All-Star lanes just around the corner for a far nicer experience.
  • I've only been once of which I base my review of that aforementioned visit. Upon arrival the place was lively, although dark in lighting, which was fine by me, and loud in noise, again, also fine. The staff was great and made sure myself and the few others that had attended had a great night. The food, specifically the pizza, was OK but a bit overpriced for the size and quality. Still, it got the job done. Bowling was a blast and although there was a delay in getting our game to work, it was quickly resolved and the night went on smoothly. Recommend!
  • I love this retro style bowling alley. no fuss of crazy lights and visuals. you are charged by the hour and not the game. we booked an hour between 6 of us and just about squeezed 2 in. there were a few mishaps though where the thing that picks up the pins go stuck so we had to call over the guy a few times. there's a bar with reasonably priced drinks and food too that you can have whilst playing. cool lounge areas and old school arcade games. we didn't try the restaurant out but very diner like.
  • Great place to have a funny time with friends. Nice old school venue. Coool stuff and prices (for central london) not expensive. Truly recommend ;-)
  • Really disappointed with our experience at this place. We arrived 5 minutes late due to having to wait outside and were told this would be taken off our time - despite taking full payment already and it not being our fault as they wouldn't let us in. The entire place smelt of vomit, the touch screen song system was old and we wasted so much time trying to get it to work and the staff didn't even let us finish our last song and were pretty rude about it. The place was also quite dirty, not a great atmosphere and was really empty. I don't leave reviews often but I really wouldn't recommend this place! If you're after Karaoke I would try Brazen Monkey instead!
