  • Just along from the Tate, this small gallery has a wide range of watercolours for sale that seem to vary from a few hundred to a few thousand pounds. Generally good standard, with a few excellent. Wor...  more »
  • The antithesis of Tate Modern - a small gallery with highly approachable and affordable art. The gallery had primarily watercolors when I was there. Entrance is free. There are no public toilets.
  • The gallery is located next to Tate Modern and is one of my obligatory stops when walking along the South Bank. It has a great collection of very affordable art works, mostly watercolors and original ...  more »

  • A small gallery close to the Tate Modern which sells contemporary art in themed collections at reasonable prices. Fun to pop into from time to time and take a look at what's hanging.
  • First time in that lovely little gallery...☺just next to Tate Modern. I saw a Giant Beautiful Watercolour Poster/Banner and it draw me inside.😍 Haven't seen something like that before. The watercolours were amazing, the details, colours, educational idea and size left me speechless (only till Sunday 26th June).Thank you. Will be back soon. Ps note to the owners do put poster/banner outside you have a big competition on your left
  • This is a real gem sat right next to the Tate Modern. Whilst we all really appreciate the Tate Modern and what it does and the artistic intent and drive. The Bankside Gallery is a totally refreshing "take on Art" and the way it has to be. It was opened in 1980 by the Queen and is a registered Charity. They regularly present exhibitions by members of the Royal Watercolour Society and the Royal Society of Painter - Printmakers. It is vital we support such places as the Bankside is actively engaged in the educational sector and helps along young people who need their guidance and help. Whilst I love the Tate Modern the Bankside Gallery holds a special place in my heart and mind. Please go and visit you will enjoy the experience.
  • The Gallery is very small but has interesting things and a section with cheap art which could be a nice gift. Fine to visit but I wouldn't say it's a must.
  • Lovely little art gallery with interesting exhibitions, most exhibits usually for sale, too.
