  • One of the best in the city. Not exactly small, but not large either. I would characterise the size of the venue as "just right". The Arch is made up of two buildings, each offering a great selection of routes and challenges for every skill level. If bouldering is your thing, this is where you want to be. Building One offers perhaps a greater range of routes, including circuits, traverses, overhangs, and an absolutely devious tunnel. The Biscuit, the older building, is a little more spacious and provides a slightly different experience. If you've never climbed before, staff insist that you take an induction lesson. I highly recommend that you do one here, if you are new. Other gyms will simply show you the facility. The Arch, however, will send you out with an instructor who will walk you through basic techniques and safety. I found that it set me off on the right foot, so to speak. Not only was I climbing, but I was thinking about technique and trying to pick up on some of the tricks that the instructor recommended. You will likely forget 90% of this after your first outing, but that's what refreshers are for. The Arch is one of the best athletic outings in Bermondsey. A great place to learn, train, and challenge you as you improve.
  • Great centre. Routes are reset enough to keep things interesting. Friendly staff and private lessons are avaliable which are well worth the money if your looking to improve. Has great tunnel section which is good to develop your traverse. Only down side is limited change room facilities for those who are a little shy.
  • Amazing place for bouldering. The new building has a great training area too. Staff isn't always very friendly but the boulders are great. It tends to be quite packed in the evenings on weekdays so if you manage to go during the day or in the morning, you can have the whole place to yourself!
  • Great facility in London. The intro lessons are well worth the money and instructor was very friendly. The routes are re-set sufficiently frequently that you do not get bored but do have enough time time to practice any you're struggling on a few visits. If you are able to find time to climb a few times a week then the membership options are good value especially for students/concessions. However, if you arrive after about 6:30pm it is very busy and even worse at the weekend.
  • Great place to climb. Very busy during weekday evenings past about 6 but I think this just adds to the atmosphere of it so recommend this time for anyone who likes meeting new enthusiastic people. The staff are also really friendly too! It is a little expensive, however the quality of the climbing walls is high enough to outweigh the price. Overall a highly recommended place!
