  • Had a really great experience paddle boarding on the Thames with Active360. Paddled for about an hour through lovely natural scenery and then stopped for a tea in a lovely small town before heading back. Personally, I had never stood on a paddle board before, but I got to choose the kind of board I wanted (went for medium difficulty) and the instructor gave useful instructions both before and during the session. All in all a great way to experience a different side of London from the usual busy and touristy parts. Would definitely recommend both visitors and locals alike to try it out.
  • Lovely introduction to paddleboarding with instructor Samuel. I took a three hour beginners session to Richmond bridge and back (stopped for tea break). You go with the tide so timing and length of session varies. Wetsuits, boots and boards included. Learned the basics and felt well supported throughout. Can try different boards depending on your balance! Once you've done the intro session you can join the improvers sessions and attend regularly (no membership fees). So calm and interesting on the river, and a bit of a workout.
  • Great fun, great instructor and great value. Would recommend!
  • i had one SUP session with active 360 which, despite being extremely overpriced, i was keen to do as their 'returner' sessions are good value. the session was enjoyable but i will say that i found the instruction to be extremely poor for a beginners class although they were really nice, friendly guys. luckily i had already had a lot of good instruction from an amazing instructor in hamburg, but if i hadn't, i would have felt very bewildered. also, i should say the changing rooms at kew were also very dirty, as were the toilets which also lacked loo paper, and the shower was beyond disgusting looking. during the session, one of the instructions told me that there were improver classes on thursday evenings for people who actually want to learn skills and technique. since the regular classes are extremely basic, i was keen to sign up to this and even more so when he said that very few people were interested in the class and so you often had one to one instruction. that evening, i signed up to the next available thursday evening session and very much looked forward to it. however, 3hrs before it was due to start, active 360 called and cancelled it because no one else had booked on. this is contra to the information given me by the guide and certainly this stipulation was not at all mentioned on the booking page. i asked for my money back and was told i would get a refund. 24hrs later, the refund had not materialised so i sent another email requesting it. they did not reply. nearly 48hrs later i said i would open a paypal dispute and low and behold they returned the money but with no apology for delays or otherwise rubbish customer service. all in, despite a pleasant first session, i cannot recommend active 360. it is a shame as i was planning on doing 2 sessions a month with them as i really, really enjoy SUP. definitely not getting any more of my money now though!
  • I had such a great time in Kew. Amazing stuff and equipments, Tomi is a great instructor, I'll go again.
