  • The gherkin is a State of the art, 180 metres high skyscraper in the financial district of London. The building was completed in 2004 and serves as an office building, a reinsurer. The gherkin is visible from many places of from London and probably symbolizes the modern London as a second building. We particularly liked the futuristic design with reflective surfaces. A cool building to see in Dubai or Abu Dhabi would attract.

  • If one wants to see the building from outside, then do so; however, the best views of the building are from a distance and normally from a height such as from the Shard and Sky Garden (20 Fenchurch St...  read more »
  • The venue itself is in a spectacular location. I went to a party there which was brilliant but the building doesn't have very good accoustics for music or a live band. The food was ok. The staff were ...  read more »
  • Great blue egg that's iconic in the London skyline. The Gherkin, or 30 St Mary Axe is one of London’s new iconic skyscraper that takes on a new unique architectural style. It’s one of the key landmarks in the city. As far as I know, there isn’t really a viewing gallery that you can visit as it’s mainly commercial space. So, we will have to contend with enjoying it from afar.
  • The Gherkin is such a iconic london building every tourist or londoner should see and should know about it due to its amazing architecture work.
  • Visited the private dining rooms at the top of The Gherkin for a private function a month or so ago. Had a fantastic time and the views are stunning. Private dining rooms did however feel a little dated and quite "temporary". The walls were the kind that could easily be moved to adjust room size but it gave the slight impression you were eating inside a cardboard box. All in all a good event and the views really were something to get excited about!
  • Amazing building. You have to get a reservation for Searcys the bar on the top floor in advance, though.
  • I have always admired the building's architecture from afar and wondered how the interior looked like. I got a chance to go to Searcy on the top floor and was floored by the view I saw. All the staff from the concierge to security to reception staff to bar staff were friendly and attentive.
