  • Admittedly, first impressions aren't good. Located down a private driveway, you do begin to wonder if you are where you should be or about to wind up in someones garden. In the end, the driveway does lead to what appears to be an old farm yard with an assortment of hangars, barns and planes in fields. But this all tells a story, not just of the history of de Havilland, but of a museum run by friendly dedicated volunteers making the most of available funds to restore and maintain de Havilland aircraft for the rest of us to enjoy. It's one of the few museum where you can get right up close to - and in many cases - inside the exhibits. On the downside, a bit limited for young children, could do with something to keep their interest; and catering is limited to a drinks machine and a few snacks - had it been better we would have definitely stayed longer. Also, as a lot of exhibits are outside, so probably best to visit on a dry day.
  • Great little museum tucked away next to the M25. Excellent exhibits, encouraged to get up close to them. Well layed out with information and history, knowledgeable stewards all ways in hand to talk about the exhibits
  • Better than we expected. Lots of info and knowledgeable helpers
  • Good collection of aircraft and knowledgeable staff doing a valuable job preserving some unique history.
