The Country Park is an attractive area, comprising reclaimed coal mining waste-land, gently rolling grassland and woodland. It covers an area of 1,200 acres, 260 of which form Loch Ore. Loch Ore is a stunning 260-acre loch located entirely within the Country Park. The Loch is regularly stocked with Brown and Rainbow Trout. Boats supplied with engines are available for hire. Anglers can take 5 fish per ticket. Superb nine hole course (par 72 for 18 holes) bounded by maturing trees. Set entirely within the Country Park views down the fairways offer atmospheric glimpses of the Mary Pit Head and Benarty Hill. Lots to see and do....playpark with abundance of choice for the agegroups....loch side sand and of course the water if your brave enough....it was a warm day and the children were in there..... plenty... more »
A great place to take to kids for a day out in the holidays. We went with our grandchildren, 5 & 6 and had a great day. It was safe to let the kids run about on their own, plenty of swings, slides etc... more »
A great country park in the centre of Fife. Golf course🏌🏼sailing⛵️ and water sport centre. There is a trail around the loch for walking🚶and a few bike 🚴 trails through the woods 🌲🌳A new cafe/visitor centre 🍰🚾ℹ️is being built (2017) and there is a very well designed play area👫

Such a lovely walk on a glorious day, easily walk around the entire loch in about 90 minutes. Loads of benches to sit and take it easy nice views and nearly entirely flat.
Great place to walk the dogs, good 3.25 miles route around the loch. Picturesque views, generally quiet during midweek. Many local activities held, an outdoor activity centre and a biking club in which there are numerous off road routes currently being created.
