Loch Katrine, Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park

(4.6/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web)
Located in the specular district of Sterling, Loch Katrine offers plenty of activities for visitors. Take a ride on the steamship Sir Walter Scott, a local landmark for the past 100 years, or the more modern craft, "The Lady of the Lake." Rent a bicycle and bring it on either boat if you’d like to cycle on your return journey. Cycle space on the boats is limited and must be booked in advance. If you prefer a more leisurely experience, walk along the loch's shores and explore the area on foot, then relax with a drink in Brenachoile cafe while enjoying the views from the comfort of the bar. Take a look at our Trossachs travel itinerary planner to schedule your visit to Loch Katrine and learn about what else to see and do during your holiday.

  • Arriving in November to Scotland, find us with a Sun spectacular and in this site privileged, was the best gift of Christmas of this 2016. We gave a special walk by the Lake, accompanied by our guide William; for about an hour, and brought us a souvenir fern leaf, since the vegetation was lush and views of the Lake and surrounding mountains extraordinary.
