  • If you love Tintern Abbey then you are going to love these too. The freshly mown grass against the columns; the peacefulness; surrounded by the wilds of Wales. Additionally this is free, just no dogs.  more »
  • Happy walk through the ruins of the priory, glorious spot too, surrounded by hills and meadows. Easy to find, decent car park, toilets there or attached to hotel , toilets not posh but clean and well ...  more »
  • Quite fascinating to study and think it all through! Location, location location! Perfect for all visitors and no fuss whatsoever. Parking, pub, tea room and hotel.  more »

  • This campsite is right next to the priory in stunningly beautiful surroundings. It is very basic with a water pipe and toilets close by. The priory has a bar in the crypt where can enjoy excellent beer and good food at very reasonable prices. The price for camping is £3.00 per person per night so not going to break the bank. I love this place and would definitely recommend a visit.
  • Stunning location great food served in the hotel bar which is a converted crypt with church pews for seating .
  • A nice campsite with a water tap, toilets and a bin store. Excellent for DofE expeditions, though note that this is a public campsite. Just down the road from The Priory (an old abbey) as well as a nice little pub.
  • Book in advance for a huge private space or you'll have to share a huge field.
