  • We took a detour on our way to stay in Llanwrst to visit this waterfall. We are so glad we did. I think being a Monday on a cold January day worked in our favour as it was very quiet. Reading previous...  more »
  • Beautiful waterfalls but too much dog mess. Both in pooh bags and on the paths. I find it hard to believe that people can be so ignorant as to use pooh bags but then throw them in the bushes. It's as ...  more »
  • We were staying in Oswestry so around 35 minute drive - but scary in some places as single track - thankfully everyone reversed for me - they must have known! Worth it - not much parking so go prepare...  more »

  • Very Beautiful indeed. Just listening to the sound of the waterfall is relaxing and puts your heart at peace. Look how wonderful God's creation. Very Beautiful. We should protect the beauty of the world!!!!
  • Nice moderate walk to the top. An hour round trip should be enough to get to the top of the falls and back. Toilets in the car park were boarded up. Parking £4, but free if you park just off the road before you reach the car park (don't park in the passing places). The road up from the village is single track.
  • Brilliant climb and beautiful waterfall. Not sure why they charge more the car park though as the sign says I think £2 and they charge an extra 50p. However they do have yet another sign saying £3 so basically take plenty of change in case it goes up again. Nice cafe with drinks and cake and a ice cream shop and toilets too. The waterfall area as you can imagine is very slippery so good footware is a must, but you can literally walk right up to it Definitely do the walk to the top as its peaceful with great views, and be prepared to step over fences to get there
  • A real hidden gem. An unspoiled natural beauty. I personly don't mind paying £3 to park as it helps towards upkeep of the private facilities. However, the public toilets are the responsibility of the local council and any complaints about them should be directed at them. Well worth the walk to the top if you are fit and well prepared for a hill walk. It was a nice dry sunny day, I could imagine it being very slippy in wet weather. Some detailed info regarding walks on the official waterfall website.
  • The Waterfall is *stunning* and the tearoom, whilst at tourist prices, is very nice. The campsite, however, is a TOTAL rip-off. Forget the website, the prices are out of date. They charge a £25 "yearly membership fee", the only benefit of which is that it allows you to book 2 weeks in advance, PER TENT. On top of that you also have to pay a fairly hefty £7 per person per night. The upshot of this is that for a family of four (2 adults and 2 teens), it would cost us £106 for two nights camping. They can quietly stuff their overpriced campsite where the sun doesn't shine. Which is a great shame, as its a stunning site in a great location.
