Llandudno Pier, Llandudno

(4.2/5 based on 3,000+ reviews on the web)
A site where the most fashionable Victorians once promenaded to the accompaniment of Jules Rivière's orchestra, Llandudno Pier is still frequently used as a set for period pieces. The pier has two entrances, the North Parade and the original entrance off Happy Valley Road. These entrances are split by the Grand Hotel, which looks out over the water and the pier. A stroll down the pier will reward you with views and a look at the exquisitely crafted ironwork balustrade. Stalls with shops and snacks line the pier, and occasionally a historic ship docks at the end. • Beautiful for strolling along, the look is back Unirii on Llandudno, settle the wind around the nose blowing, almost like a walk into the sea. Due to the Witte runs influences part slightly rusty, but that is the charm. On Sunday it looked rather, half the city Frolics there in the afternoon. The many noisy stalls, casinos were not so nice. Shops with local products, etc. would be stylish

  • I remember this pier from years ago. It is now in need of some TLC . The paint is peeling and metal is rusting. It didn't help that most of the shops were shut and it was raining.  more »
