Llandudno Pier, Llandudno

4.1
A site where the most fashionable Victorians once promenaded to the accompaniment of Jules Rivière's orchestra, Llandudno Pier is still frequently used as a set for period pieces. The pier has two entrances, the North Parade and the original entrance off Happy Valley Road. These entrances are split by the Grand Hotel, which looks out over the water and the pier. A stroll down the pier will reward you with views and a look at the exquisitely crafted ironwork balustrade. Stalls with shops and snacks line the pier, and occasionally a historic ship docks at the end. For travelers who use our custom trip planner, Llandudno holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Llandudno Pier and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • A lovely walk along the pier on a Spring Sunday. We were surprised to see so many shops/arcades open out of season. Plenty to do and a great opportunity to take in the scenery.  more »
  • This Victorian pier is still very popular. There loads of stalls selling doughnuts, candy floss, burgers etc. There’s rides for the children and seating for the adults. Nice way to spend an hour or tw...  more »
  • Been to many other piers in the North and this isn’t one of the best!! Quite disappointed actually because Llandudno is stunning and the pier needs massive improvements.  more »

  • Great place, lovely to walk along the pier and then turn around about half way down and look at the stunning scenery.... beautiful!! Loads of things to do for the kids, great ice creams half way down on the left. Fish and chips and a pint at the end of the pier. So many things to do and see but you'll have to go and see for yourself.
  • It's am impressive bit of Victorian architecture. It does feel like something out of an H P Lovecraft story. On a stormy evening, overlooked by the Grand Hotel it could well be the setting of a gothic horror story. And by day it's present enough with lots to see and discover. If you walk all the way out and back you've walked just under a mile.
  • Great day out with the kids. There's a fair and great seafood. The Punch and Judy show is funny and you can also go crabbing on the pier. The Alice in Wonderland park is lovely too.
  • Beautiful Victorian pier. Well managed and in keeping with its original design. Wonderful views of the promenade. Loved it.
  • Really lovely traditional seaside pier. The children's fairground rides were all shut because school term had just started, but all the rides you'd expect to see were there. And all the little shops and amusement arcades. It was great!
