Llandudno Pier, Llandudno

4.1
A site where the most fashionable Victorians once promenaded to the accompaniment of Jules Rivière's orchestra, Llandudno Pier is still frequently used as a set for period pieces. The pier has two entrances, the North Parade and the original entrance off Happy Valley Road. These entrances are split by the Grand Hotel, which looks out over the water and the pier. A stroll down the pier will reward you with views and a look at the exquisitely crafted ironwork balustrade. Stalls with shops and snacks line the pier, and occasionally a historic ship docks at the end. For travelers who use our custom trip planner, Llandudno holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Llandudno Pier and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • A lovely walk along the pier on a Spring Sunday. We were surprised to see so many shops/arcades open out of season. Plenty to do and a great opportunity to take in the scenery.  more »
  • This Victorian pier is still very popular. There loads of stalls selling doughnuts, candy floss, burgers etc. There’s rides for the children and seating for the adults. Nice way to spend an hour or tw...  more »
  • Been to many other piers in the North and this isn’t one of the best!! Quite disappointed actually because Llandudno is stunning and the pier needs massive improvements.  more »

  • Was freezing when I went to Llandudno but it should be fun visiting in summers. Lots of fun activities for kids. Ample of eating places and parking. You can walk on the pier all the way to end and enjoy a beer with some live music. There are toilets on the pier as well if u had a few 🍺 🍺 😊. And yes, a fishing point too for enthusiasts.
  • A great traditional pier in great condition. There are all the typical amusement arcades and some funfair rides for younger children. And there are fishing permits available for the far end of the pier. The only problem you will have is parking! Not easy. Have fun. And an ice cream.
  • This is a well maintained pier. Lovely shops, entertainment arcades, rides and bouncy castles for children. Fishing platforms at the end of pier, shop selling bate at pier entrance. Beautifully lit up at night, gorgeous Christmas decorations. A long pier, providing a good walk, and stunning views in every direction. One of the best in Britain for views and lots of seats on pier too!
  • A very nice place to visit. Perfect time is the summer. However, you can get an amazing experience in spring as well. The place and the people are really welcoming. You can also get the benefits from the pubs and restaurants which are really close to the pier. If you have plan to stay overnight, plan it ahead.
  • The Pier is located at the end of the Promenade next to the Great Orme. When I visited it was out of season with a lot of the attractions and shops closed. Entry to the pier is free and there are fantastic views on a clear day. There are a couple of places at the end of the pier where you can grab a drink or food at reasonable prices.
