Composed of limestone formed over a period of more than 300 million years, these old cliffs abound in fossil remains of primitive fish, sponges, corals, mollusks, and other invertebrates. The headland is part of a nature reserve that includes a Bronze Age copper mine, landscaped gardens, a parish church, and an award-winning summit complex.   • Really enjoyed the visit, £3 entrance but that included parking. Lots to walk around, lovely views. Also there is a train that will take you up and down. Cafe and rest rooms, Well worth the visit.  more »
  • It is a nature reserve and is very quiet and peaceful if you take a tour round it. Lots of people took the road, walking but it looked reasonably strenuous.  more »
  • once you have got to the top its a lovely view and there is a couple of cafes and a visitors center which you can read about the great orme small gift shop  more »
