  • Steep climb but well worth it. Especially at sunset. You can take dogs but there are often sheep grazing. Great spot for a picnic.
  • Whilst the ruins are just that, there is enough of the building to get the rough idea of what this castle would have been like when built. The views from the top are fantastic and certainly worth the ...  more »
  • A bit of a climb but good for the lungs, take good stout shoes that you don't mind getting sheep muck on! Read the history boards, v. interesting.

  • Beautiful sight. Good all year round. Cracking view at the top. Take the camera
  • Great place to come watch the sun rise. You can see Paxton Tower to your left looking towards Carmarthen and spot Dinefwr Castle ahead of you looking up towards Llandeilo.
  • Free car park at the foot with picnic tables. It's quite a climb up to the castle ruins, but worth it for the wonderful views of the countryside and the ox bow river. It has a very mystical quality and I am drawn to return time and time again. There are some great pubs near by and Paxton's Tower, also worth a visit.
  • A superb location, unfortunately the castle is in a poor state, but with imagination, it fantasic.
  • Worth a visit, great views.
