  • We unfortunately arrived at the end of the day, only because dusk was falling we probably would have stayed longer. None the less it was a brilliant experience. Fabulous views from the highest point o...  more »
  • This is a lovely spot- it gives you great views up and down the Towy valley- we got lucky with stunning sunshine in late October. A great spot to bring children (although the high walls are not roped ...  more »
  • An enjoyable, albeit uphill walk to the castle. Views once up there were beautiful, you can see for miles across the Brecon Beacons! Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. Not an all day acti...  more »

  • Beautiful sight. Good all year round. Cracking view at the top. Take the camera
  • Great place to come watch the sun rise. You can see Paxton Tower to your left looking towards Carmarthen and spot Dinefwr Castle ahead of you looking up towards Llandeilo.
  • Free car park at the foot with picnic tables. It's quite a climb up to the castle ruins, but worth it for the wonderful views of the countryside and the ox bow river. It has a very mystical quality and I am drawn to return time and time again. There are some great pubs near by and Paxton's Tower, also worth a visit.
  • A superb location, unfortunately the castle is in a poor state, but with imagination, it fantasic.
  • Worth a visit, great views.
