  • My wife and did a one day orienteering course with Hawks adventures earlier this month and I cannot rate it highly enough. They were totally professional from the outset and catered a course specific to our needs and there was never any pressure or "hard selling". Our instructor (Steff) was amazing. He was patient, knowledgeable and was a great all round instructor, who clearly knew his stuff. I can't believe how much I learned in one day. I went from know very little about maps and map reading to both my wife and I having the confidence to plan our own trips and expeditions around the UK. Prior to doing the course, my wife and I loved walking, but would never stray too far from established paths. However Since doing the course we are able to go off-piste and navigate ourselves around Snowdonia and the Beacons, it has opened up a whole new world of adventure for us. As well as the course the guys have also been on hand to answer questions over the phone. A great service and an awesome adventure company. Thanks so much guys.
  • UPDATE; the professionalism of Hawk Adventures does not exist. they do not correspond to emails or phone call. in my experience they make it as difficult as possible to book any type activity at any time. they advertise you do not need a group but will not help you if you are just one person. seek out other buisnesses if you do not wish your time to be wasted after leaving a poor review i was finally contacted by Mr Steffan Davies. while i was excited to finally hear back from them i was told because i left a bad review there was no way to book an activity for fun. so if you do not say anything good about them they will tell you to go elsewhere. real militant people it seems
  • The navigation and map reading course that I went on was fantastic. Set in the beautiful Swansea Valley, the mix of class room work and outdoor training was pitched at the right level. The instructor, Steff, had boundless patience and made sure that everyone understood before we moved on. I also really enjoyed the fact that Steff shared his knowledge of the history, geology and nature in the area. Fabulous day.
