(4.2/5 based on 1,300+ reviews on the web)
In 2005, a new central entrance hall and a six-story atrium were added to World Museum. After you pass through this grand atrium, you'll find galleries filled with archaeological, ethnological, and scientific artifacts. Inside, the World Cultures gallery allows you to explore the world without leaving Liverpool. If strange creatures are your passion, then check out the Bug House. Admission to the attraction, and the in-house planetarium, is free. Put World Museum at the forefront of your travel plans using our Liverpool vacation trip planner.

  • Still a lovely museum, but some of the displays are showing their age a bit while the big refurbishment a few years ago didn't seem to really change all that much - still the same old galleries I was looking at 15 years ago, minus the sorely-missed transport gallery. There are lots of good events though, and the planetarium is a good free way to spend some time. The Natural History centre is utterly wonderful for kids.
  • A great museum, whether it's a family day out or you're just chilling with your friends. Interactional for the kids. And the best part of course, it's free.
  • A great place to take the kids and spend the day. lots to see and lots to do including many exhibits that you can touch and interact with! Very close to the station and parking outside
  • Great exhibits here. Free entrance. Lots of significant artifacts and a great natural history section.
  • This is a great place to bring the children. Its free to get in and there are loads of things to see, from dinosaurs to real live bugs xx
