In 2005, a new central entrance hall and a six-story atrium were added to World Museum. After you pass through this grand atrium, you'll find galleries filled with archaeological, ethnological, and scientific artifacts. Inside, the World Cultures gallery allows you to explore the world without leaving Liverpool. If strange creatures are your passion, then check out the Bug House. Admission to the attraction, and the in-house planetarium, is free. Put World Museum at the forefront of your travel plans using our Liverpool vacation trip planner.

My wife and I enjoyed the visit very much; only two issues for us: Firstly, there was scores and scores of educational visits with hundreds of kids practically sprinting around the museum. This can be controlled. The second thing was that the Ancient Egyptian exhibition was closed for renovations. But all in all, a great place to go!
Better than expectations (which were average). So good museum. Especially for kids, but older people will enjoy it. Never to old to learn. And it's big enough. Go!
Very busy with children at the weekend, but great exhibitions and an awesome day out. We missed out on the planetarium; we were advised to arrive earlier next time to get (free) tickets! The aquarium was cool, as were the dinosaur and insect sections. Would definitely return another day!
Haven't been the museum in years, expected it to be a bit weak given cuts these past few years. Glad to say it's brilliant, took our 2 year old to see the dinosaurs, she loved it and the rocket. The exhibition on colours was great, very interactive and fun for the kids.
An excellent and educational venue. I recommend you allow sufficient time to take in all the museum has to offer.
