  • An eclectic choice of exhibits, from a wide range of false teeth to a 3D video trying to explain the CERN hadron collider. Well worth a visit for the building itself.

  • I visited this museum today and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The collection is one of the most varied I've come across in a long while, from the background of nuclear research to a collection of dentures. The architecture of the building is reason enough for a visit, a beautiful, unspoiled gem of Victorian design. The staff are the friendliest I have met as well as being very well informed on the collections. Plus there is a great cafe. They also now have their own app available for the iPad to give you a virtual tour. It's well worth a visit and is easy to walk to from Lime St. station,.
  • It is a free museum hosted by the University of Liverpool. My parents are dentists, and they enjoyed the collection of dental stuff very much. Galleries are also very good. Staff are very helpful and friendly. It is a must go museum if you come to visit Liverpool.
  • A criminally underrated little museum with an eclectic set of exhibits! Not a big fan of the art rooms but there's some great local history content and a really interesting hall that combines exhibits on particle accelerators, insects and false teeth. A slightly oddball hidden gem.
  • Very pleasant experience. Quiet museum with an eclectic collection. You can take the whole place in in about two hours max. Some old maps of Liverpool; some illustrations by a pioneer in the field of realistic nature studies; a ceramic collection; a sculpture collection (small sculptures) the history of the founders of the University with a focus on the physicians; a dentistry exhibit and a very modern exhibition of particle physics. The real star though is the building itself. Beautiful architecture with exquisite tiled decoration throughout.
  • The cafe here is great and it is one of the original redbrick buildings. It looks great from the outside and is very iconic for the University.
