Very pleasant experience. Quiet museum with an eclectic collection. You can take the whole place in in about two hours max. Some old maps of Liverpool; some illustrations by a pioneer in the field of realistic nature studies; a ceramic collection; a sculpture collection (small sculptures) the history of the founders of the University with a focus on the physicians; a dentistry exhibit and a very modern exhibition of particle physics. The real star though is the building itself. Beautiful architecture with exquisite tiled decoration throughout.
The cafe here is great and it is one of the original redbrick buildings. It looks great from the outside and is very iconic for the University.
A great visit. This is a museum and gallery run by Liverpool University. It has exhibitions on particle physics and the history of the university. The location and building are also breathtaking.
