Came in here midweek, first visit. Absolutely loved it. Particularly upstairs. What a great wee place. A good atmosphere and a magical concept. We got lost in the vinyl for a few hours over a few beer... read more »

I have been here in the past before the refurbishment and it was a nice friendly scene with helpful cheery staff. Worth popping in if your close
Just heard the awful, disgusting incident this evening involving the abusive, thug staff assaulting (physically and verbally) a PAYING CUSTOMER with no reason what so ever. Obviously have major EGO issues and no respect for others. Witnessed by a number of onlookers the staff bullied and intimidated a guy because they didn't like the look of him, then had him arrested for allegedly being "aggressive". The only aggression was from you bunch of low lives! News spreads fast and you won't be open long with this kind of publicity, shame on you assh****!
Really friendly bar staff, very nice place in the afternoon. Fairly loud tunes but good ones. Great variety of customers and a very friendly place. Would have had five stars but the Shipyard Pale Ale had run out ... lol
Loved loved loved the Jack, and went back after the refurbishment and looks great. However.. the tall bar tender was preoccupied with texting behind the bar, so I had to "clink" a glass after minutes of waiting at an empty bar (which I except is rude on my part, but I would assume the bar tenter is there to tender the bar...) to get his attention and which point he was "offended" and I had to apologies just to order a drink!?! Nice looking bar but poor customer service.
Fun atmosphere tons of choices on drinks. Bartenders fun and engaging.
Great lively place, with history. Brilliant set by Becky & the Band when I visited.
