  • It's just a picture. is it really worth the tour that shows this House and Paul on the inside. book in advance is important.

  • We visited recently on an organised tour- the only way to visit inside is on a pre booked tour with the National Trust. We had a really informative and interesting visit to the house, but on our minib...  more »
  • I will not dwell on the importance of this House of the Middle Class (in contrast to Paul's house located in an area inhabited by the Working Class) at the time. It is the place where John Lennon lived his childhood and that says it all. Definitely more exciting home of Paul. It's a must know that if you go by yourself, do not recommend, or the Magical Mystery Tour that is organized from the Cavern Club makes a stop in front of the House but you can't get in any way and we lacked the 90 percent of the emotion because you do not see more from outside than a House with its walls and an inscription on the gate of access ... The only way to gain access inside, and then see the environments, the kitchen and the back room as it used to, our Beatle perfectly preserved with posters on the walls and its first guitars is to book your visit through the English National Trust Association that organizes groups of no more than 15 people, typically on weekends. A few at a time because the House is small, full of "memories" and is accompanied by a guide explaining almost ad personam the whole history of this House. The National Trust is a British company, similar to the Fai, which is responsible for maintaining and protecting the historical sites in England. Before you leave you can book on their website, paying by credit card, a tour of about 3 hours providing a van which, starting from the Hotel Jurys Inn (located in the Albert Dock), leads first to visit Mendips and then the birthplace of Paul McCartney. Well worth the trip!
