It’s often said jokingly that to understand Liverpool you must first understand its music and its football (soccer). Well Anfield Stadium boasts an iconic, almost spiritual place that enables you to fully appreciate the latter. The stadium--which serves as the home of Liverpool Football Club--has been around since 1884, and it’s not an understatement to say that it has become one of city’s most famous buildings; to step into Anfield is to step into the metaphorical heart of half the city’s football fans. Few experiences in sport match the spectacle of the Liverpool faithful singing "You'll Never Walk Alone" (from the 1945 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical "Carousel") in unison to greet their team. If you can't score a ticket to catch this in person, a tour can still help you soak in the stadium's atmosphere. Put Anfield Stadium at the forefront of your travel plans using our Liverpool tour planner.

  • If you like football you can't find a better place.Everything i great here. The people, the atmosphere and the 11 players with red shirts.( except the goalkeeper)
  • As a Liverpool fan I may be a little biased but Anfield is a great ground. Easy to get to, more atmosphere than any other ground. There are plenty of pubs for a pre match pint, and check out the enclosure outside Anfield Road end for food, drink, fun and games.
  • Due to its closed structure, Anfield holds the sound of the crowd well, which is what contributes to its atmosphere. Indeed, the ritual of singing You'll Never Walk Alone before the start of every match will make any true Red's hair stand on end. First Aid provision is absolutely top quality. The food is expensive for what it is, but that's what you always get with a captive audience.
  • liverpool play again barcelona will be geat because we will see Luis suarez play it will be great. This is International champions league 2016 This august .
  • Stadium is great on a match day. Atmosphere has not yet been rivalled by any other stadium I've ever visited. If you are a fan, I recommend the stadium tour which grants you access to the museum where you learn about the history of Liverpool FC and their famous stadium. Cant wait to visit after the expansion has been completed.
  • Good Ambience from one of the most winning club in English Premier League. You should check their website whether the renovation still took place or not. Last time i went there i can not take picture the famous stair of "This is Anfield!"
