  • Great walks in a scenic landscape.
  • Lots of WWII history. Fascinating.
  • Great place for a break food drink and walks and the lough what more do you need
  • This is a very shabby and unloved place. The forest park has walking / running trails but almost nothing is marked any longer and so it is easy to go wrong. There are no marked circular routes, for instance, or any indication of cycling trails except for one National Cycle network route along some of the existing Tarmac roads - very poor. Lake views are hard to get too - the forest is scrubby and unkept along the lake shore and much of the shoreline has no trail at all. There is a caravan and camping park too but it's not a lovely place - damp, dank, poor ground and lacking in any lake views. Overall, this place is an appalling waste of opportunity and is a disgrace to the shores of the beautiful Lough Erne. I have been coming to this area for decades, including visits to the steadily degrading Castle Archdale which I won't be visiting again. It urgently needs a change of management.
  • Beautiful location
