  • PpaLeinen owes many of its history of Ireland and Northern Ireland has played an important role in the fabric of development. Here is of the oppressed Irish stake in the linen industry tells the story in text, images, and atmospheric sound recordings, before you get everything before the eyes paraded in the Weber space. Various workshops for school groups are in offer.

  • Not wildly exciting but it was interesting to see the history of linen and the process of converting flax into fabric. We were fortuitously there when a school group was doing a guided tour and demonstration so tagged along with them. The demo on the flax gave me a new appreciation for the process to produce the linen clothes I enjoy wearing.
  • An institution and landmark in the centre of Lisburn for years, whilst the actual museum is probably much more entertaining for people who have no knowledge of Lisburn or the industrial background of Ulster, it's still worth a visit if you've never been. The cafe is pretty good, with various bakes and food available to enjoy whilst looking down Bow Street.
  • An interesting, curious little spot right in the heart of Lisburn. Cafe, toilets, souvenir shop and "little cinema" glorifying local industry and history.
  • Interesting history of importance of linen in culture and financial development of lisburn .
  • No atmosphere. Gifts expensive
