Chilford Hall Vineyard, Linton

(4/5 based on 240+ reviews on the web)
Chilford Hall has been in the Alper family since 1966 when it was bought by the late Sam Alper, designer of the famous Sprite caravan and founder of the Little Chef chain of restaurants. Its development reflects his interest in Wine, Art and Sculpture: there is a profound sense of individuality and wherever you look there is something of beauty and interest for the visitor. The legacy of a lifetime spent collecting art, sculpture and architectural oddities.
Chilford Hall Vineyard is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our world travel planner, Linton Edition.

  • I bought a voucher for my partner for Christmas and wine tasting/afternoon tea at Chilford Hall was one of our options. On arrival we were given a friendly welcome with a cup of tea. A short while lat...  more »
  • Our guide we so informative - I really did learn a lot about the production of wine. The wine tasting was fun and the wines were lovely. The lunch was really poor which sadly let the experience down. ...  more »
  • Nice knowledgeable people giving tours and wine tasting experience. I found the wine a little crispy for my palette but it is after all England and we don't have the heat for the top wines really.  more »

  • Very nice tasted the wines, lady was very helpful rose blush was good but I reckon the sparkling rose was great v good worth trying overall all nice wines
  • Attended a wedding here. Beautiful grounds. Staff were friendly but mostly felt like they just weren't interested in being there or doing jobs effectively, although I did only come in to contact with some bar/waiting staff. Wedding cake was cut by staff!! And then not distributed to the bride and groom let alone any guests though !!!!
  • Had my partners christmas do here. They had some fawlty towers stuf which was awful as we were not able to talk at the table. My soup was cold by the time they stopped pratting about and served the rolls. And they served spainish wine and not there own! Odd and sad as this could have been a nice meal.
  • Very nice temporary venue, ideal for weddings and small conferences.
  • Nice white chocolate and raspberry gateaux.
