Great view at above and fantastic path walking along the woods. Some physical required to walk up the hill to enjoy the view else ground is perfect for a picnic or a barbie!
Had a four hour day ticket with a three fish limit, never seen three fish rise all day. This used to be run by west lothian council and it was first class, now only a shadow of itself. I fished this w... read more »

Visited the park a few times now, last time was a few years ago so we thought it was time to visit again. We expected something's would have changed but what a shock we got when we arrived. I will start with the positive the caravan/camping site is still 5* . Our main reason for visiting the park were the walks through the woods with the dogs. Disappointingly, nearly half of the forrest has gone, appears to have been felled in one, not great forrest management. The tracks used to be clearly marked and identified by their colour code and arrows . We still assumed this was the case as we seen some on poles on the well appointed paths. How wrong we were five minutes into the first walk we were challenged by cyclists telling us to get off the path as it was for cyclists only, this seemed to be backed up by no entry signs just a bit further down the path so we turn back giving up on the walk. Next day we found a notice board in the carpark at Balvormie showing cycle routes clearly and some broken lines for utility routes which we assumed were for walking. Trying to find your way round was hard as there are no route defining markers and the condition was terrible compared to the cycling ones. After meeting a couple of local dog walkers we were able to manage a router avoiding the cyclists and any further conflicts. Don't think we will be back in a hurry as it appears they are setting up the park for cyclists and don't want people who enjoy a walk through the forrest. So disappointed, this will probably our last visit unless things change.
It's great if you enjoy walking. Unfortunately there are only two toilets at either end of the park. Not good for those with disabilities or kiddies in prams.
Lovely walking, and fantastic mtb trails
A good place for a walk or a nice day out to visit the animals. Worth supporting.
Really nice park
