  • We decided to walk to Wall from Tamworth, taking the public footpaths there. Took us 1 1/2 hrs and it was lovely to be able to just go onto the site and sit and have a coffee. The walls are only found...  more »

  • As a historic site, it's quite interesting - there's a lot more of the buildings uncovered than I thought there would be. Worth a visit if you're passing, but I couldn't spend more than an hour there. Small museum nearby although check opening times in advance if you want to go in.
  • It's not the most informative setups, with only a few placards with some drawings and basic information; but it's still fairly interesting if you're intrigued with history. The museum itself was closed (open once a month by the looks of it) so perhaps that's the reason the actual site seemed so lacking in substance. It looks like there's much more that has been excavated than you can see today (part of the site includes walls which vanish under the hedge into the next field). Glad we stopped by for a look regardless.
  • Nice little site, not much to see though now and the information boards are a bit tired. Call the museum before visiting though as it isnt open very often.
  • 2000 years of history in a small site, but it really gives you a sense of time gone by.
  • Whilst there is not much there to interact with, it is interesting seeing the remains of old Roman buildings. It is worth going on a day when the museum is open, as there are a lot of interesting artifacts such as Roman money and pottery.
