Large open space on the edge of two large towns. Parkland on the site of a hall that burnt down over 60 years ago. Always clean and tidy, it's great for an amble around or a family visit. Open parklan... more »
All in all this is great for a family day out with lots of free activities including a park with lots of equipment and a sand pit and there is a maze and lots of green space if you take a bat and ball... more »

Great for when kids want to go on the scooters and bikes. I love this big park. We love the train and the maze. The cafe is nice and cozy with good food. Lots of dogs though. If you or your children are afraid of dogs be aware. The playground is great too. You can watch the children well. The train is our favourite and while it's busy when it's on its quick to get on and the staff are lovely and friendly.
Excellent park with great walks for dogs. Huge play area for children. Football pitches. Lovely cafe which is dog friendly but expensive. Model steam trains that you can ride on for free - donations box. They only run weekends usually and Tuesday in school holidays. Lovely craft shops. Plenty of parking but limited to 3 hours!!!! Toilets not very well kept.
Cracking park. Lots of open space and great play area for kids. Some nice walks too
A really good park there are a few good walks and a lot of open space along with a children's park. During the day parking does cost and there is a time limit on stays to stop students from the nearby college from parking there but of an evening it does become free.
First visit and found it great. Lots of open spaces, 2 model train rides and the play area is fantastic for all ages. Extremely large and lots to do. Also has a small animal area and walled garden. The park also had its own maze. Not just a small one either, took us some time to get to the middle.
