Recently I went to blackberry farm with my grandparents, my sister and my baby cousin, I have to say that it was the best place I have ever been to! The food in the cafe was lovely, the staff were very friendly, the animals were/are kept wonderfully and the kids play area was buzzing with happy kids. It wasn't expensive to get in at all which set off a good start! There were Things for all ages which was great. I am totally going to come back again with my family and hopefully have as much fun as I did! :-)
We went as a family for my granddaughters 2nd birthday treat. She had been before and loved it. I would give it 5 stars apart from the fact that the admission charge for 2 - 16 year olds is the same as an adult. Rather a strange age range for pricing I thought. Plenty to do for youngsters and she loved feeding the animals. Would definitely recommend this as a fun time out.
Really fun morning out. There winter price deal is great.
I was really upset when I visited this farm with my children in August 2013. It is really expensive to get in. The animals are kept but they are not cared for properly, whether this is due to lack of knowledge or for financial reasons I dont know but this must be dealt with. The first thing you see is a beautiful Maccaw parrot in a tiny cage outside completely bored and unloved. It will never fly, it will never know another parrot. Raystede animal sanctuary houses parrots that have been abused llike this in huge enclosures as they should be. This should be sorted out for the animals sake. Also my daughter was placed on a bucking pony that had not been trained properly, I cannot explain how upset we were about this as she could have been badly injured. Also the pony was obviously distressed and should not have been doing rides for the general public. This was even more upsetting as the lady helping with the ponies then hit the pony 'to teach her a lesson'. It would maybe be better if people were employed who had some training in animal husbandry rather than local teenagers.Of course this would make the profit margins smaller. DO NOT VISIT,
