  • An interesting glimpse into history with an atmospheric exhibition of Tudor life. Quite pricey but worth fitting into a day in Lewis.
  • A very well run and interesting house. I am sure in the better weather the garden would be a joy to sit in. The little cafe was excellent with lovely homemade food. Cakes were delicious. A definite vi...  more »

  • Interesting little house given by Henry VIII to Anne de Clèves. The wooden roof structure seen from the inside is beautiful.
  • This trip was pointless not only did she not live there she didn't even go there. They tell you this after you have paid which was £21 pounds. You walk into a room that has a bed (which apparently is Anne of Cleve's bed but obviously not. The sign outside was utter rubbish completely unprofessional punctuation error. The whole trip was a complete disaster. If you want to do it properly then don't admit that she never lived there nor visited there. Utter RUBBISH. If you are going then shame on you.
  • Good way to spend a couple of hours, would love to own the house! Good tea shop too!
  • Get your history right! Your property leaflet still states that the divorce from Anne of Cleves was 1541 - it was 1540. As part of the divorce settlement, Anne was invited back to visit the Court at New Year,January 1541 to meet with new Queen, Catherine Howard. Staff I mentioned this error to had no knowledge of this period of history, which they should have done, as front line staff. Otherwise, an attractive and interesting building, with very little connection to Anne of Cleves.. - Not worth a second visit !
  • Cool area.
