  • Great accommodation, super housekeeping. Will definitely look for the availability of the hotel when visiting lerwick next time.
  • October 2016 Just loved Fort Charlotte Guest House in Lerwick. 😊. We arrived in Lerwick from the ferry early Sunday morning. As nothing was open, we drove around to establish our bearings to begin our 4 day sight seeing trip of The Shetland Islands. With no accomodation pre-booked, we searched online and found Fort Charlotte Guest House. And yes, accomodation was available! We were directed to a free car park nearby and even greeted by our hosts who carried our luggage for us. Such a cosy double room with ensuite. During our stay, we were offered lots of recommendations for sightseeing, daily trips, eating places as well as local information and use of their maps while we were there! Then of course there were delicious cooked breakfasts daily to start our days off well. Our rooms were serviced daily, fresh towels, tea and coffee facilities were topped up and even our overnight washing rearranged to enable better drying. What more could you ask from your hosts? We were delighted with our short stay, as Lynn and Jim made us feel so welcome. We felt that we acquired so much more local knowledge of the Shetlands through many opportunities to chat to and interact with our hosts. Thanks for a most enjoyable stay.
