  • Great place for walking the dog with a mix of woodland, paths etc. Some of the signs and maps are a bit tatty and a cafe rather than a van would be ideal after a full lap. Still a regular visitor thou...  more »
  • First time here, great walk with plenty of parking with plenty of birds and hides. Noticed a few hardy fisherman. Information notice boards badly need updating.
  • I regularly visit here and walk my pet dog. Its great a lovely view across the lake and there are ducks/swans that you can see from the edge. It is the perfect place for walking pets and I enjoy takin...  more »

  • A peaceful country park to visit in the Leigh area. It has some great bird watching hides where you can watch and photograph bullfinches, reed bunting, robins, squirrels, kingfishers, herons, and much more! There's plenty of swans, mallards, gulls and geese too on the flash water itself which also plays host to a yachting club. A decent place to take your dog for a walk or run on the large field, to do a spot of walking around the many dirt tracks, to take the kids to (they have a small playground) or just for spending a nice sunny afternoon there. There's parking and toilet facilities at the Flash with an ice-cream van and food van there on most days if you're feeling peckish.
  • Great country park for walking around, amazing scenery and great facilities, parking coats £1.20
  • Nice place to visit but think it's a lot better if you have a dog and also if your into bird watching as the bird watching stations are a nice touch..
  • Good walks around the flash, a complete circular walk is achievable, but poorly signed.
  • Lovely place for a quiet walk. Wooded areas or along the side of the flash (lake), which was created by subsidence of mine workings. Walk past the flash and you come to the canal. If you're a geocacher, there are large numbers of caches in the park area.
