  • Contrary to what is written about this market, this market is not really big. What is special is that the stalls all look very good.

  • We know our farmer's markets here in Germany. Actually nothing special. Fruit, vegetables, sausages and meat products by regional suppliers - normal. Here, it is actually not different, yet this market has a special flair which you can not - explain you have to experience it.

  • Call me a sucker but I love the market. The sight , the sounds and all the fresh produce brings the foodie out in me. Outside is an excellent fruit and veg market, the prices are very good and everything tends to be in that 'ready to eat now' stage. Inside is the meat and fish market both offering great variety , yes things can be a little pricey but you really are getting what you are paying for.
  • One of the oldest place in leicester yet still running. This market offers a very wide range of products from fruits and veg to fish and meat to old to new and old electronics. Whatever you need to cook food this is the place.
  • Lots of fresh stuff and cheap as well! Best place to get your veggies and fruit. Also, the meat hall has some very nice products!
  • The best place to buy fresh fruits and vegetables! Prices are much better than in any shop. Local farmers stuff.
  • Brilliant meat and fish hall where they are happy to sell just one sausage or rasher of bacon if need be. The outdoor covered market great value fruit and veg with plenty of friendly banter. Who needs soulless supermarkets...
