  • We visited for the Richard III angle and were not disappointed. His final resting place and the pall were wonderful. They were simple and highly effective, with wonderful craft man ship. And two modern in style stained glass windows dedicated to Richard III. Which all three of us found quite breath taking in there beauty. The lay staff we found were knowledgeable (they helped us find the qwerky reference to Leicester city Football Club in the stained glass window) and very help full to me. I am in a wheelchair and found accsess easy. The signs in the cathedral were short and informative. On the hour there are no more admittions for five minutes for prayers to take place. A reminder of the place its self.
  • Richard III burial place a lovely cathedral. Very peaceful
  • There is a King buried here! Great part of Leicester, lots of history within 5 minutes walk.
  • This church and the Tomb are dramatic. A lot of ingenuity and hard work has produced this.
  • Beautiful Cathedral, with the new memorial for Richard III inside, made from local stone. Just across the courtyard is the recently found tomb under the car park of Richard III, see my photos. Excellent stories, well told and well presented with considerable dignity as befitting a King.
