  • A beautiful park in the heart of Leicester, so much bigger than we expected! A nice mix of organised flower beds and also some more rugged rural sections to explore. The River Soar also runs directly through the middle of the park which gives it some great views. There is a playground for the kids and an exercise area with machines. We recently came here for fireworks night which was excellent!
  • Beautiful park, lovely play area, pets corner. Boating lake and sensory garden, an outdoor gym which is used by lots of people, great place for a day with the kids. Small sit on train that is great value for money the kids always love to ride it but check it's opening times so you're not disappointed. There are plenty of picnic tables and the Abbey Park Cafe is brilliant, they cook lovely food and sell hot and cold drinks, ice creams and duck food, we visit as often as we can because we love going there
  • Love this park. It has a pets corner which is good for kids. It also has a nice play area for kids. Apart from that it is very well maintained and great for walks
  • I enjoy every time I walked or jogged here as it is a very live environment with families and nature being together. Its also good for sports and cycling as it has a good walking path and grass field so that there is plenty of space.
  • A mature and established park just to the north of Leicester City Centre sitting astride the River Soar and the Grand Union Canal. Often features civic events, such as summer activities for children and families and Diwali fireworks. Cardinal Wolsey, Henry VIII's first chancellor, is said to have been buried herer.
