  • Spent a delightful afternoon in the beautiful grounds late August. So many beautiful plants and ideas. Took away a brilliant idea for growing courgettes on a trellis frame, rather than taking up a whole bed for them - next year!! Plant sale was rather lack-lustre but the cafe with excellent quality tea and cakes made up for it. All staff friendly and engaging, but would have liked to know more about the names of the plants.
  • A beautiful garden
  • We spent an afternoon wandering around this beautiful garden which has developed over 50 years - giving everyone at least one idea to take home with them. Attention to detail, clever ideas, and well placed focal points mean that you can go round and round the garden several times seeing different things. The garden still keeps its 'family garden' feel to it though, as if you are sharing it with its owner! Tea and cake for £2 on the front lawn completes the day, along with plant sales and greetings card / calendar sales. Combine your visit with a walk around Golden Acre Park, just north of the garden on the Otley Road - a Leeds council park with woodland walks, gardens, trials garden (dahlias), lake, ducks and tea house.
