  • We visited last weekend and had a lovely time. It was really busy which was great to see-the price probably helped as we thought £16.50 for a family was good value. We have avoided other country house...  more »
  • Whilst I appreciate that Lotherton Hall is a nice place, the advertising for it's Christmas Experience gives a false impression. I would not say it is an "experience". It's basically the grounds of Lo...  more »
  • We went along to have a look around the beautiful house and grounds and have a go at the wreath making, it was a fantastic time and there was a lot for the children to do. They had put on entertainmen...  more »

  • Absolutely wonderful day out. The gardens were beautiful and the bird garden was very vast! I expected a few cages for visitors to see but the garden seemed to be endless it was lovely. My biggest compliment however is the disabled facilities. I'm a carer and was taking a young client on a day out, the disabled toilets in the courtyard were fantastic and included a soft bed and hoist for you to use. It is rare to find such facilities. The staff at the house were also fantastic. I looked on some websites ahead of time to see how we would cope with my client's wheelchair and the website highlighted how some of the house would be difficult to access. I understood this and went ahead with the visit anyway. There was actually an elevator in the house that went up to all levels and the staff communicated excellently with each other to make sure my client got as much access as possible. At one point even opening a door not fully accessible to other visitors to allow us to view the Florence Nightingale exhibit. Overall, the gardens were beautiful, the staff were fantastic and would definitely recommend.
  • A lovely relaxing place to take the whole family including the dog! There is something for everyone. There is a spy Hut to secretly watch the deer, rabbits, foxes lots of birds and other wildlife. Several different walks in or out of the woods, all lovely and peaceful. There is a cafe with various hot and cold food and drinks. The mansion house is well worth a visit as is the bird garden with it's various exotic species. There are various picnic areas with lots of tables or you can just pitch up on one of the many fields and grassy area, some people take a barbecue too! There is a children's playground and various other activities for them throughout the grounds. One visit is just not enough! We visit regularly and always have a brilliant time. They also have various special events throughout the year, not to be missed!
  • We what can i say poor signage around this place we never did find this bird garden and saw no deer. There was meant to be a classic car show but there was one mini there, the house is very interesting but could do with a good dust and the staff follow you around like your going to steel something. We got a discount for a group booking but i would not say its worth the full price and the gardens don't look like anyone really others with the up keep very often.
  • Gorgeous gardens. Fantastic Bird sanctuary. Brilliant kids play area and cafe. Plenty of picnic space and room for the kids to have a run around.
  • Lovely place to come on an afternoon. It has a bird garden, children's playground and a cafe and gift shop. The bird garden is great with lots of different birds from lots of different places. It is clean throughout. You get an annual pass when you buy a ticket.
